2003 Long tine friend and fan of the band Regina Claros, from London UK worked for Sony Music and encouraged the band to take a leap of faith and move to the UK, as the sound of the band was more appealing to UK and Europe audiences than Bolivian ones, starting with the fact that Gerald’s native tongue was English and all the lyrics were written in this language.
By July 2003, after a number of good reviews from industry-related feedback, Le Vow had successfully booked a number of gigs in London’s Camden area, including the “Bull and Gate” and “Dublins Castle”. The band started promoting their own music in the following months, generating interest from audiences, potential managers and producers
Due to lack of logistics planning, by the end of 2003 half of the band needed to return to Bolivia to resolve professional commitments and visa renewals, and Gerald returned to the USA. Only Bishop and Charly remained in the UK.
2004 Bishop and Charly participated in a new musical project along with fellow Bolivian musicians in a band called “Ambaibo”. The band debuted in “The electric ballroom” in July and did a number of concerts in different London summer festivals. However new demos for Le Vow were being created at that time, as rehearsing took place in al old church roof in Vauxhall, providing a great atmosphere for new ideas.
2005 Tivo and Marco returned to the UK and band focused on new demos as they waited for Gerald to return and continue promoting the band By the end of the year Bishop left the UK and returned to Bolivia to renew his Visa which was denied, prompting Gerald’s decision to remain in the US and Marco to return to Bolivia the next year.
2006 Le Vow decided to call off their attempt to return to London and Charly returned to Bolivia to set up a home studio and continue producing music with Le Vow but this time without any intention to gain access in the industry.
